From Scottish Gaelic, meaning “land” or “country”, a quiet reminder that the land, the nature, the source of all we are – is our true home.
WHAT WE DO
Inside each blend is a belief that real ingredients, mindfully chosen, can nourish more than just the body.
We partner with organisations that align with our values, helping create a world that’s more connected, compassionate, and kind. So every cup you brew is part of something bigger.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
A quiet pause between meetings. The steam rising from your favourite mug. The deep breath before bedtime. We believe in the small, real moments – messy, meaningful, and beautifully yours.
Kintra Journal
a place for thoughtful reflections, everyday rituals, and honest conversations about living well (without the pressure to do it perfectly).
Here, we share stories, ideas, and gentle prompts steeped in curiosity and care. Little moments of meaning to sip on, just like a good cup of tea.
Mono no aware is a Japanese phrase that translates, roughly, to "the pathos of things."
It describes a particular quality of feeling, one that surfaces when something beautiful is also known to be temporary. Not grief exactly. More like a sharpening of attention. Japanese aesthetic tradition holds that beauty and impermanence are not in tension with each other. They are the same thing, looked at twice.
It is there in the specific ache of cherry blossoms at peak bloom - the awareness that the looking matters more because it won`t last long.
Mono no aware doesn`t resolve into comfort. It simply names what is already true: that things pass, and that the passing is part of what makes them worth noticing.

A blend created to ground and restore. Dandelion Root is a smooth herbal infusion crafted to steady the mind and settle the body. Softer and more delicate than the traditional roasted dandelion blend, this tea offers gentle earthy tones and a light, natural warmth: simple, nourishing, and quietly balancing.
Made from pure dandelion root, this mellow infusion carries subtle bitterness with a clean, rounded body. Naturally caffeine-free, it is traditionally used to support liver function and digestion. A calming cup to reset, realign, and return to centre - any time of day.

Dandelion root has been used in traditional medicine across Europe, China, and by Indigenous communities around the world for hundreds of years. Not the flower, not the leaf - the root. Herbalists valued it specifically for what it did for the liver and the digestive system. It was a staple in European apothecaries, a regular ingredient in Chinese herbal formulas, and considered a reliable everyday tonic: not a special occasion remedy, just something people reached for when the body needed a bit of support.
What`s interesting is that modern research actually backs a lot of this up. Dandelion root is rich in bitter compounds (inulin is one of them, a prebiotic fibre that are associated with supporting digestive function and liver health). Studies suggest it may help stimulate bile production, which is part of how the body processes fats and clears waste.
It`s also been looked at for its antioxidant content. Nothing dramatic - just steady, supportive work happening in the background.

In the Lakota language, Mitákuye Oyás’iŋ translates to “all my relations.” The Lakota are a Native American people from the Northern Plains of what is now the United States. The phrase is often spoken in prayer and ceremony - a quiet acknowledgment that everything in life is connected.
In this worldview, relationship extends far beyond people. It includes animals, plants, water, land, sky - even the unseen forces that shape life. Nothing exists in isolation. Each part belongs to a larger whole, held together through connection and mutual care.
Mitákuye Oyás’iŋ is both a statement and a way of living. It gently asks for awareness: how actions, however small, ripple outward. How respect for one part of life is respect for all.
In this way, connection becomes responsibility. And belonging is not limited, it is shared.

Soothing. Floral. Grounding. #calmtea #calm #botanicaltea
A blend created to soften and restore. Calm is a gentle botanical infusion crafted to invite stillness and ease. With layers of floral depth, subtle sweetness, and a soft, grounding finish, it offers a steady pause - one that supports balance, quiet presence, and a slower rhythm.
Chamomile and lavender bring soothing floral notes, while sweet fennel and licorice root add natural sweetness and smooth body. Passionflower and linden support relaxation, balanced by spearmint for a light, refreshing lift. Ginger and marshmallow root round the blend with warmth and softness, finished with touches of rose, hibiscus, and cornflower. Each cup is a gentle return to centre: calming, comforting, and composed.

Harvested from the leaves, stems, and flowers of the Passiflora incarnata plant, passionflower has a long history of use across the Americas. Traditionally used by Indigenous communities and later in European herbal practices, it was often turned to for calming the mind and supporting rest. Despite its intricate, almost striking appearance, passionflower became known for its gentle and steady nature.
Modern research highlights passionflower’s natural flavonoids and alkaloids, which are associated with calming effects on the nervous system. Studies have explored its potential role in supporting sleep quality, easing mild anxiety, and helping the body settle during periods of restlessness. Its effects are generally described as subtle, working gradually rather than immediately.
In tea, passionflower brings a soft, slightly earthy flavour with mild grassy notes. It blends easily with florals and herbs, adding a quiet depth that feels calming and balanced, often used in blends designed for unwinding and evening rituals.

In the Akan language of Ghana, "Sankofa" can be translated to “go back and get it.” It carries the understanding that moving forward sometimes requires returning - not to dwell, but to retrieve wisdom left behind.
Sankofa is often represented by a bird flying forward while turning its head backward, sometimes holding an egg in its beak. The image speaks gently: the past is not something to discard. It holds lessons, memory, and insight that can guide the present.
In this philosophy, growth is not linear. Reflection is not regression. Looking back can be an act of strength - a way of honouring roots while continuing the journey ahead.
