A Sip of Inspiration
In Japanese, Wabi-Sabi is a philosophy of finding beauty in imperfection, impermanence and simplicity. Rather than chasing flawless forms, it invites us to notice the charm in the worn, the uneven, and the unfinished.
This way of seeing grew from Zen Buddhist roots and the cultural traditions of Japan, especially the tea ceremony where humble, handmade objects were chosen over ornament or shine. In that setting, each imperfection isn’t a flaw to hide, but a story to honour - a trace of time, use, and lived experience.
“Nothing lasts forever, nothing is ever truly finished, and nothing needs to be perfect to be meaningful.” When we slow down enough to notice these truths, ordinary moments become more intentional.

With notes of fresh mint and sun-ripened pineapple, it offers a light, energising pause that feels crisp, clean, and quietly invigorating.
Peppermint and spearmint lead with a cool, refreshing lift, while pineapple adds a soft tropical sweetness. Calendula is made from the golden petals of the calendula flower and has been gently used for generations as a calming, skin-supportive botanical. It’s traditionally known for its soothing and anti-inflammatory properties, often turned to when the body needs a little extra care.
The flavour is soft and lightly floral, with a gentle warmth that makes it easy to sip.

We’ve been receiving a few enquiries about the caffeine in our Formosan Black and Formosan Green teas since we updated our packaging, so we wanted to share a little more ☕🌿
We decided to remove the “98% caffeine free” statement to avoid any confusion as the teas aren’t decaffeinated, they’re just naturally very low in caffeine thanks to the tea variety we use.
Buy don’t worry, nothing else has changed. Lab testing confirms the caffeine content is still below 2%.

This year was a turning point for Kintra. We reimagined who we are with a more conscious, intentional brand. We launched a brand-new website and, for the first time in 40 years, started direct online sales - a huge milestone for us.
We welcomed 12 new blends into the Kintra range, sponsored 3 wellness events and 2 social projects focused on children education. We grew our team, and invested in better equipment and processes to support what we do best. None of this happened by chance.
